Position Overview

As the Principal Engineer, you will hold a pivotal role in driving innovation and governing the planning and execution of next-generation solutions. Your leadership will guide a diverse team of technologists and engineers, underpinning a thriving culture of excellence. This opportunity offers you the platform to actualise projects across the organisation, as well as providing on-the-ground leadership support throughout the Poland Technology Centre.

Responsibilities

• Shape the technological strategy and drive innovation within the department.
• Steer the delivery of cutting-edge solutions endorsing business growth.
• Guide a diversely skilled team to execute a successful roll-out of technical projects across the organisation.
• Anchor the on-site leadership support throughout the Poland Technology Centre.
• Pilot all Global Private Banking and Wealth (GPB&W) engineering activities within Poland on behalf of the GPB&W CTO and extended leadership team.

Requirements

• Proven IT experience within a decade of working in the field.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Java, web-based technologies including JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Proficiency in Web Services such as REST, SOAP and associated technologies including XML, JSON, and Swagger.
• Competency in API Architecture and Engineering with a keen understanding of REST, API Gateways and Management Platforms, Cloud-native stack.
• Strong hands-on technical background with the ability to guide teams on the ground.
• An innovative leader who can keep abreast of advancements within the technology universe and implement that within decision-making.
• Profound understanding of project management lifecycles, as well as Agile and DevOps software engineering models.
