We're on the lookout for a dynamic Global Product Owner to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping our Gen AI ambition. You will have the unique opportunity to develop and deploy advanced Generative AI (GenAI) solutions, contributing to HSBC's digital transformation and positioning it at the forefront of AI-driven banking solutions. You will be supporting over 10k frontline employees, across 50+ markets and two of HSBC's largest divisions, making a real impact on the future of banking

What you’ll do

• Responsible for the end end-to-end process from project inception to the design, development, and deployment of GenAI models, leveraging agile and DevOps methodologies to ensure rapid and efficient delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and other cross-functional teams to define and prioritize AI-driven product features and capabilities based on their requirements.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of AI models and processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary enhancements to ensure optimal results.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in GenAI, analytics, and Prompt Engineering, ensuring HSBC remains at the forefront of innovation and maintains a competitive edge in the industry.
• Participate in regular reviews and audits of AI-driven processes, providing insights and recommendations for improvements to ensure ongoing alignment with HSBC's strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure adherence to data privacy and security standards, safeguarding sensitive customer and business information while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and drives product success.
• Develop and execute comprehensive system test plans for HSBC's GenAI platform for your respective domain, ensuring the highest quality and performance of newly developed AI capabilities across various business areas.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

• Highly numerate with strong background in mathematical disciplines e.g., computer science (AI/ML), statistics, physics, engineering.
• Extensive experience in model development and lifecycle.
• Proven experience of working with GenAI, Large Language Models (LLM), Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, huggingface, Scikit-learn libraries.
• Deep knowledge of software development and experience in a range of coding languages such as Python, C++, JavaScript, HTML.
• Familiarity with cloud-based AI platforms, especially Microsoft Azure.
• Some banking and/or financial services experience with Global Banking (GB), Investment Banking (IB) or Commercial Banking (CMB) exposure preferred.
• Familiarity with financial data and good understanding of banking products and processes.
• Motivated quick thinker with innovative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience of preparing and communicating key messages and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
• Track record of implementing GenAI solutions in strictly regulated organizations.
• Result oriented team player who can foster strong and collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders.
