The Analytics & Insights team is part of the CTO DevOps Services department, responsible for providing the metrics and analytical products that drive iterative improvement in DevOps practices across the bank. We have team members across Europe, India and Latin America working across metrics, insights and providing the platform capabilities that underpin these and are scaling up our engineering team in Poland to support the creation of greenfield cloud data platform capability along with supporting ecosystem components. 

The successful candidate will join an existing multi-disciplinary team of systems and data engineers and be focused on defining and implementing data schemas, pipelines, marts etc. in partnership with other team members to take raw data and turn it into enriched datasets for our customers.

What you’ll do

• Responsible for data ingest, refinement and presentation - design, development, testing, coding, and deploying to production.
• Manage the operation and enhancement of our cloud data platform to meet internal objectives.
• Prioritize quality, time, and budget constraints in data-related activities.
• Facilitate effective communication among team members and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with diverse global teams to achieve project goals.
• Drive an Agile, product-oriented culture to promote innovation and collaboration.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

• Proficiency with C#, .NET Core, and Web API, with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in database design and SQL, particularly with SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Experience in cloud-native and serverless application development.
• Proficiency in version control using Git, along with experience in Shell scripting and Python.
• Strong background in data engineering, including ETL processes and streaming.
• Knowledge in data modelling and making design trade-offs for schemas and marts.
• Experience in implementing automated solutions for data quality assurance.
• Familiarity with orchestration, scheduling, and working in DevOps environments with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices.
