We’re looking for a Software Engineer passionate about gadgets, IoT and smart devices, who’ll be mainly responsible for new “Labs” features in SmartThings app. You may be the one who makes things a little more connected and a lot smarter.

Role and Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining IoT/SmartThings solutions/SmartThings app’s plugins, ensuring high performance, reliability, and a world class user experience
• Implementing new functionalities and unit, automatic tests
• Analyzing errors and solving problems
• Preparing proofs of concept

Technologies in use

• Programming languages: Kotlin, Java, JavaScript (TypeScript + React)
• Tools and frameworks: Git, Gerrit, GitHub, Perforce, Android Studio, RxJava, Dagger, Coroutines, MVVM, Jetpack Compose, Figma

Skills and Qualifications

• Proven at least 3 years commercial experience in using Kotlin for Android apps development
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to write clean and high quality code
• Knowledge and experience in using RESTful based services
• Knowledge and experience in the area of user interface design
• Creative approach to solving problems and focus on quality
• Good in English communication for working
